About
I like the whole problem.
I’m Joshua Abegglen. I work comfortably from technology strategy and architecture through to engineering, implementation and the awkward fault that only appears on Tuesdays.
United Kingdom
I’m as comfortable helping a leadership team shape a technology roadmap as I am tracing a bad patch lead in a network cabinet.
My experience spans technical consultancy, service and solution design, enterprise networks, infrastructure, security-conscious architecture, automation and operational improvement. That range helps me connect decisions made in a meeting with the practical reality of building and supporting the result.
joshfixes.it is my small-business and consultancy presence. Work is personally delivered: no invented team, no anonymous delivery factory and no attempt to turn every conversation into a managed-service contract.
How I show up
Senior enough to advise. Practical enough to fix.
GroundedI will say what I know, what needs validating and where a specialist is the better answer.
CuriousI enjoy understanding how systems fail, how people use them and how they can be made better.
Security-consciousSecurity and resilience are design inputs, not promises of perfect protection or legal compliance.
Personally accountableThe person in the first conversation is the person thinking about and delivering the work.
Security experience
Careful claims, useful experience.
My work includes secure network architecture, segmentation, Microsoft security, MFA, secure remote access, firewall policy and endpoint/security architecture.
I also have awareness and delivery experience around Cyber Essentials and Cyber Essentials Plus. I do not present employer-held accreditations as personal certifications, and I do not make legal or compliance guarantees.
